What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process that guides you into a deeply focused, relaxed state – similar to daydreaming or getting lost in a good book.
In this mindset, your subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestions, making it easier to change unhelpful habits, manage mild anxiety, and boost self-confidence.
You remain fully in control throughout, able to come out of the relaxed state whenever you wish. Rather than digging into the past, hypnotherapy often focuses on practical, forward-looking steps that support genuine, lasting change—all in a safe, supportive environment where your comfort comes first.

About Serene Blue
Why I became a hypnotherapist
For years I supported a family member with anxiety without fully understanding its impact, until I experienced it myself.
Suddenly I found out how debilitating it could be. Simple everyday tasks were a struggle and I found my thought process different to what I was used to.
With my family’s help, I learned to cope and regain control over my life, and that inspired me to help others do the same.
I signed up to train as an accredited hypnotherapist, completing my certification with Chrysalis Training. Since then I’ve also become qualified in Smoking Cessation; Anxiety and Panic Disorders; and Phobias.
In addition to volunteering with Home Start, supporting families with young children, I’m also a NSPCC Building Connections Volunteer for young people.

how it works
Free 15 Minute Consultation
I start every new client relationship with a brief, no-cost phone call to see if hypnotherapy is right for you—and if I’m the right therapist to help. During this call, we’ll talk about what you’d like to achieve and answer any initial questions you may have.
Initial Consultation (Up to 60 Minutes)
If you decide to move forward, our first in-person session lasts up to an hour. We’ll discuss your goals in detail, the changes you hope to make, and any concerns you might have. I’ll then outline a tailored program—highlighting suitable hypnotherapy techniques and any ‘homework’ tasks to practice before our next meeting. During this session, we’ll also review necessary forms, set clear expectations, and create a structured plan to support your progress.
